Why Compare Eura Mobil Motorhome Insurance?

A Less Common Badge Here

Eura Mobil is only really sold through a couple of UK dealers, so fewer of them are on UK roads. Comparing several providers shows how each one rates a less common badge.

The Weight Plate Decides A Lot

An Integra Line at 3,500kg and one upgraded to 4,400kg need different licences, and providers may rate them apart. Quoting at the current plated weight keeps the price accurate.

Alcove To Integrated, Fiat To Mercedes

Ten ranges, with Fiat and Mercedes-Benz bases among them, mean a broad spread of values. Quote with the exact range, layout and chassis. Clean Green Cars introduces you to UK providers, so you can see several Eura Mobil quotes together.

Eura Mobil Motorhome Insurance Overview

  • Eura Mobil Specifics - Eura Mobil builds motorhomes in Sprendlingen, near Mainz. It began as Blessing KG making caravans in 1959, started motorhome production under the Eura Mobil name in 1983, and has belonged to the French Trigano group since 2005.
  • Ten Current Ranges - The maker lists 10 ranges, from the Activa One alcove to the integrated Integra Line, and it exhibited at the NEC in October 2026.
  • Fiat Or Mercedes-Benz By Range - The Integra Line and Profila T are Fiat-based, while the Integra Line GT and Profila T MB use Mercedes-Benz. The Xtura is a semi-integrated built as a 4x4.
  • Wood-Free Walls - The Integra Line uses wood-free GRP walls and an insulated, heated double floor. The full range name and year tell a provider which build you have.
  • Weight Can Be Uprated - The Integra Line 695 LF is 3,500kg as standard but can be upgraded to 4,250kg or 4,400kg for extra payload. On a petrol or diesel motorhome, either figure needs C1.
  • A Small UK Presence - Eura Mobil's own dealer search lists one UK dealer, M&C (Motorhomes and Caravans Ltd) in Hull. A right-hand drive Xtura arrived in 2024, but that doesn't make the whole range right-hand drive.

Is Insurance Required For Your Eura Mobil Motorhome?

Yes. Any motorhome driven on a road or other public place needs at least third party insurance, and your Eura Mobil is no exception. GOV.UK says driving uninsured can mean a £300 fixed penalty and 6 penalty points (an IN10 endorsement), and police can seize the vehicle. A court can go further, with an unlimited fine and a possible driving ban.

  • Short Trips Still Count - moving the motorhome from storage to your drive, or across town to a workshop, is road use and needs cover just as a long tour does.
  • Laid Up And Declared SORN - if it's kept off the road and declared SORN, the law doesn't ask for insurance. Laid-up cover for fire and theft can still protect it while it sits unused.
  • Uninsured But Not SORN - as the registered keeper of an uninsured motorhome that isn't declared off the road, you could be fined £100, have it clamped or impounded, or face up to £1,000 in court.
  • Read The Policy Conditions - some providers set conditions on storage, security or habitation checks, and breaking one can affect a claim. The motorhome insurance guide covers the wider rules.

Licence Rules For Driving Your Eura Mobil

The licence you need depends on the motorhome's maximum authorised mass (MAM), the most it's allowed to weigh when fully loaded. Go by the figure on the weight plate or the V5C, as two motorhomes from the same range can be plated differently.

  • Category B - Up To 3,500kg - a car licence covers a petrol, diesel or hybrid motorhome with a MAM up to 3,500kg. For an electric or hydrogen motorhome, the limit rises to 4,250kg.
  • C1 - 3,500kg To 7,500kg - anything heavier, up to 7,500kg, needs category C1. Above 7,500kg you need a full category C licence, though Driver CPC isn't needed for private leisure trips.
  • Car Test Passed Before 1997 - a car licence gained before 1 January 1997 usually includes C1, which lets you drive a motorhome up to 7,500kg. Look up your licence record online to be sure.
  • Car Test Passed Since 1997 - to add C1 you'll need a D4 medical and a provisional licence, then a theory test plus off-road and on-road practical tests.
  • Renewing C1 Later On - C1 that came with a pre-1997 car licence lasts until that licence expires, normally at 70. After that you renew it by post and must meet the higher lorry medical standard. If you gained C1 by passing the test, you renew every 5 years from 45 with a D4 medical, then every year from 65.

Habitation Cover For Your Eura Mobil

No law says a privately used motorhome needs a habitation check, but most manufacturers advise having one every year, and some warranties and policies ask for it. These three parts of the living area are where habitation cover does most of its work.

Damp, Seals And The Body

Water can work its way in around windows, roof lights and seams on any coachbuilt, often without showing for a while. A yearly check with damp readings gives you a dated record of the body's condition, which helps if you ever need to claim.

Gas, Heating And Appliances

The cooker, fridge, heater and water heater are fixed parts of the living area, so they usually sit under habitation cover rather than the motor section. The gas safety regulations don't apply to private use, but an Approved Workshop Scheme check includes the gas system.

Awnings, Solar And Belongings

A wind-out awning, roof solar panels and the things you pack for a trip normally fall under the habitation or contents section. Policies set a contents limit, so check yours and list valuable items such as e-bikes or cameras on their own.

Eura Mobil Cover Levels Compared

Settle for third party only and if your Eura Mobil is stolen from storage, nothing is paid out for the motorhome itself. Here's what each level of cover usually includes.

FeatureComprehensiveThird Party, Fire & TheftThird Party Only
Damage or injury you cause to others (legal minimum)YesYesYes
Fire and theft of your Eura MobilYesYesNo
Accidental damage to your own Eura MobilYesNoNo
Habitation section (appliances, fixtures, awning)Often includedProvider-dependentNo

Full cover while touring abroadOften included for a set number of daysProvider-dependentNo
Breakdown and recovery for motorhomesOften an add-onAdd-onAdd-on
Uninsured driver promise (excess back when not at fault)Often includedProvider-dependentNo

Every provider sets its own features, limits and conditions, so check the policy wording before you commit.

Cover Tip: Comprehensive cover with an agreed value fixes the payout before anything happens, which can make a total loss on a less common motorhome simpler to settle. Look closely at how the policy treats the awning, solar panels, belongings and habitation section, and whether a missed habitation check changes anything.

What A Standard Policy May Leave Out

One clause you didn't spot can leave your Eura Mobil claim unpaid. These are the things a standard motorhome policy often leaves out.

Standard Exclusions

  • Driving Over Your Licence Weight Limit - A petrol or diesel motorhome plated above 3,500kg needs C1 or pre-1997 entitlement. Drive one on a car licence alone and you're not licensed for it, which gives your insurer grounds to refuse a claim. Compare the V5C weight with your licence record online.
  • Skipped Habitation Checks Where Required - If your policy makes a regular habitation check a condition, letting it lapse may lead an insurer to turn down a damp, gas or appliance claim. Keep each dated certificate with your policy documents so you can show it when asked.
  • Parking Away From The Agreed Storage - When a policy names a storage site or a level of security, leaving the motorhome somewhere less secure, even for a short spell, may put a theft or vandalism claim at risk. Tell your insurer before you change where it lives.

Important Limitations

  • Extras And Changes You Haven't Declared - Added solar panels, lithium batteries, satellite dishes, bike racks, a different awning or a reworked layout all change the value and the risk. List each one when you quote. Anything left off may be excluded or lead to a smaller payout at claim time.
  • Hiring It Out Or Paid Use - A private motorhome policy doesn't cover renting your Eura Mobil to other people or carrying paying passengers or goods. That needs specialist hire cover, and a motorhome hired out as a business also comes under the gas safety regulations.
  • Staying Abroad Past The Day Limit - Full cover outside the UK often comes with a yearly cap on days. Once a trip runs past it, you may be left with only the legal minimum third party cover. Look up the limit in your policy wording before a long tour, and arrange extra days in advance if you need them.

Optional Extras For Your Eura Mobil

Break down hundreds of miles from home without the right cover and getting a motorhome recovered can be costly. These optional extras may be worth adding for your Eura Mobil.

Adds more days of full cover abroad than the policy normally allows. Worth a look if your Eura Mobil heads to the continent for weeks at a time rather than spending most of the year on UK sites.

Roadside help and recovery set up for motorhome-sized vehicles, with transport able to carry a long or heavy coachbuilt. A breakdown service designed around cars may not be equipped to move a motorhome that size.

Laptops, tablets, cameras, drones and phones packed for a trip can add up to more than the contents limit. Gadget cover protects the portable electronics you carry in the motorhome, at home or away.

Can help you claim back losses your policy doesn't pay, such as the excess or the cost of an injury, after an accident that wasn't your fault in the UK or abroad.

What Shapes The Price Of Eura Mobil Cover?

What the motorhome is worth, where it sleeps at night and how many miles you cover all move the price of Eura Mobil cover. These are the main factors.

Key FactorImpact on your price
Eura Mobil range and weightAn integrated, Mercedes-based Integra Line GT and a semi-integrated, Fiat-based Profila T differ in body style and base vehicle, so providers may rate them differently. An upgraded plated weight can change the rating too, and it brings C1 into the picture.
Driver age and recordExperienced drivers with a long clean record usually see lower prices. Younger drivers, or those new to handling a vehicle this size, may be quoted more, and some providers set their own age limits.
Where you livePostcodes with higher rates of vehicle theft and claims tend to cost more to insure than quieter areas, even for the same motorhome and the same driver.
Overnight storageKeeping it at a site CaSSOA has graded Silver, Gold or Platinum may lower the quote. A home driveway and a roadside space carry different risks, and each provider rates them its own way.
Yearly mileageMotorhomes tend to spend more time parked than driven. A realistic estimate of the miles you'll cover keeps the price fair and avoids trouble if you need to claim.
Plated weightAbove 3,500kg a petrol or diesel motorhome needs C1 and is taxed as a Private HGV (TC10). Some providers rate heavier motorhomes differently from those plated at 3,500kg or less.
Import and registration historyA motorhome brought in from abroad has to be approved and registered with DVLA before it's used on UK roads. Tell your insurer it's an import, as some providers may price it differently.
Habitation check recordA dated record of recent habitation checks can support your quote. Where a policy makes regular checks a condition, a gap may affect the price or a later claim.
Security fittedAn alarm, a tracker or a wheel clamp makes a motorhome harder to take. Some providers make approved devices a condition once the value passes a certain level.
No-claims bonusClaim-free years usually bring the price down. Providers differ on whether they'll accept a no-claims record earned on a car or another vehicle, so ask when you quote.
Cover level and agreed valueComprehensive cover on an agreed value can be priced above market value cover. In return, the payout figure is settled when you buy, not argued over after a total loss.

Your quotes will reflect your own details and your motorhome.

Price Insight: Two providers can price the same motorhome quite differently, because each one weighs value, storage, security and driver history in its own way. Comparing several quotes side by side, rather than letting the policy roll over, shows you how wide that spread is for your Eura Mobil.

Ways To Help Lower Your Eura Mobil Premium

Letting your Eura Mobil policy renew without a fresh look can mean paying more than you need to. The steps below may help trim what you pay.

1

Quote At The Current Plated Weight

Read the weight plate and V5C for any upgrade before you start, then use that figure. An out-of-date weight gives a price for a motorhome you don't have, which can cause problems if you claim.

2

Add A Tracker And Keep It Active

Fit a tracker and keep its subscription running all year round. It may help the quote on a higher-value motorhome, and some providers won't cover one above a certain value without it.

3

Book A Habitation Check Every Year

Book a yearly check at an Approved Workshop Scheme workshop and keep the certificate. It gives you a dated condition record, and it may meet a policy or warranty condition too.

4

Estimate Your Mileage Honestly

Work out the miles you're likely to cover in a year of tours and weekends away. A figure that's too low can cause trouble if you claim, while an accurate low one may help keep the cost down.

5

Agree The Value When You Buy

Ask providers whether they offer agreed value. The price may be slightly higher, yet the payout figure is fixed from day one, so there's no debate about what the motorhome was worth after a write-off.

6

Pay Once For The Whole Year

Pay the annual amount in one go if you can afford to. Monthly instalments usually carry interest (shown as APR), which can push up the total you pay over the year.

Saving Tip: Insurers look for signs that a motorhome is well kept and hard to steal. A CaSSOA-accredited storage site, a tracker and a dated habitation check record all help make that case, and some insurers give a discount for CaSSOA storage. Accurate mileage and a clean driving record can help too.

Comparing Eura Mobil Quotes Step By Step

Comparing Eura Mobil motorhome insurance from UK insurance providers only takes a few minutes. Get started above.

1

Enter Your Details

Add your Eura Mobil model, year, value, likely yearly mileage and postcode. It takes a few minutes.

2

Check Licence Against Weight

Give your licence categories, then compare them with the plated weight on the V5C so the quote matches what you can drive.

3

Line Up The Cover Levels

Set third party only, third party fire and theft and comprehensive next to each other, then read the habitation, awning and European terms.

4

Choose Any Extras

Decide whether European cover, motorhome breakdown, gadget cover or legal expenses fit the way you use your Eura Mobil.

5

Choose A Start Date

Pick the day you want cover to start. The provider sends your certificate and policy documents once you've paid.

What Our Expert Says

The Eura Mobil detail worth checking first is the weight plate. The Integra Line 695 LF leaves the factory at 3,500kg as standard, but it can be upgraded to 4,250kg or 4,400kg for more payload. A used one could have either.

The 4,250kg figure trips people up. A car licence stretches to 4,250kg only for electric or hydrogen motorhomes, so a diesel Integra Line at that weight needs C1, just as it would at 4,400kg. A car licence gained before 1997 usually includes C1, but a later one won't unless you've added it.

If the weight has changed, the V5C needs updating to match. Your insurer needs the current figure too, not the one in the brochure, because a quote at 3,500kg describes a different motorhome from the one parked outside.

Your Eura Mobil Insurance Questions Answered

Is Eura Mobil Still Making Motorhomes?

Yes. Eura Mobil is a current maker, building in Sprendlingen with 10 ranges listed, and it showed its motorhomes at the NEC in October 2026. Its UK presence is small, with one dealer, M&C in Hull, on the maker's dealer search. Quote yours under Eura Mobil and its range name, such as Integra Line or Profila T.

Is My Eura Mobil Left-Hand Drive?

It depends on the model. Eura Mobil launched a right-hand drive version of the Xtura in 2024, but don't assume the same for every range. Look at your own motorhome and give the steering side when you quote. If yours came from Europe, tell your insurer it's an import.

Does The 4x4 Xtura Need Special Cover?

Not a separate type of cover. The Xtura is a semi-integrated motorhome built as a 4x4, and it's insured as a motorhome like the rest of the range. Tell your insurer it's four-wheel drive, and read the policy wording for any limits on driving away from made-up roads before you head off the tarmac.

Is My Eura Mobil Covered When I Drive In Europe?

Yes, at least to the legal minimum. Every UK policy includes third party cover in the EU, and no green card is needed there or in Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and a few other countries. Cover for theft or damage abroad depends on your policy and often has a yearly day limit. Take your licence, V5C and insurance details, and show a UK sticker in Spain, Cyprus and Malta, or wherever your plate lacks the UK identifier with the Union flag.

Does Where I Store My Eura Mobil Change The Price?

It often does. Insurers price storage by theft risk, so a site accredited by CaSSOA, the UK scheme for secure caravan and motorhome storage, may be priced more kindly than an open driveway or a street space. CaSSOA surveys sites every 3 to 5 years and grades them Silver, Gold or Platinum. Some insurers give a discount for accredited storage, so name the site accurately when you quote.

Can I Insure An Imported Eura Mobil?

Yes, once the paperwork is done. An imported motorhome needs vehicle approval first, usually through the GB conversion IVA scheme if it was approved and registered in the EU, then DVLA registration and tax. Insure it before it goes on a UK road, and that includes the drive to a pre-booked MOT or approval test. Tell your insurer it's an import and whether it's left-hand drive.

Is A Heavier Eura Mobil Treated Like An HGV?

Only partly. Motorhomes take a class 4 MOT whatever they weigh (class 5 with 13 or more passenger seats), first due at 3 years, so a heavy one never goes for the HGV annual test. Tax does change at 3,500kg, from Private/Light Goods to Private HGV. Speed limits split at 3.05 tonnes unladen, not MAM, and above that you're held to 50mph on single carriageways and 60mph on dual carriageways.

What Happens After I Submit My Details?

Clean Green Cars introduces you to UK insurance providers and regulated brokers that offer cover for your Eura Mobil, based on details such as your licence, postcode and storage. You can then compare cover levels, prices and extras before deciding whether to take out a policy.
