What the Writer Says…
LC50 is the endorsement code for driving after a licence has been revoked or refused on medical grounds. It falls under Section 94A of the Road Traffic Act 1988, which makes it an offence to drive when you know that your licence has been revoked or refused by the Secretary of State on medical grounds.
This is the most serious of the LC licence offences. Unlike LC30 (false fitness declaration) or LC40 (failure to notify a disability), an LC50 means the DVLA has actively decided that you are not fit to drive and revoked or refused your licence accordingly. Driving after that decision carries a clear road safety implication.
