New EV Experience Centre Launches in Milton Keynes
The Electric Vehicle Experience Centre in Milton Keynes opened its doors for the first time last week. The EV showroom that features models from multiple manufacturers is the first of its kind in the UK.
What makes the EV Experience Centre unique is that it’s not just a showroom but a place where anyone who is interested in electric cars and how they work, whether they’re considering buying one or not, can go to learn about the technology. There will be a team of EV gurus on-hand to answer any questions that visitors might have. It’s also possible to test drive the vehicles in the showroom.
Renualt, BMW, Kia, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Volkswagen will be among the manufacturers whose models will be on display at the new showroom. These manufacturers are part of the Go Ultra Low scheme being run by Milton Keynes.
Jesse Norman MP for Hereford and South Herefordshire said = “We awarded £9m to Milton Keynes to encourage the take-up of ultra-low emission vehicles and it is great to see the city leading the way. There are now more than 100,000 ultra low emission vehicles on our roads, and it is our ambition that nearly every car and van in the UK is zero-emission by 2050.”
