Golf BlueMotion with 99g/km CO2 emissions

Volkswagen has officially announced details of its new Golf BlueMotion model, which will emit just 99g/km CO2, the same emissions as the last-generation Polo BlueMotion.

The Golf BlueMotion will complete the Golf Mk6 line-up and is fitted with a raft of economy-saving features, including a sports styling kit to boost aerodynamics and efficiency. It is powered by a 103bhp 1.6-litre common rail TDI engine capable of 0-62mph in 11.3 seconds and a top speed of 118mph.

Standard specification is the same as a standard Golf in S trim, with the addition of a start/stop system, regenerative braking, hill hold assist, longer gear ratios, low rolling resistance tyres, sports suspension and a multifunction computer with optimum gear change recommendation.

The Golf BlueMotion is priced from £17,325, with the five-door model costing an extra £585. It is available to order now.
